116 Car Club is licenced by the Motorsport UK as a ‘safety and medical’ frequency user. (81Mhz) The licence is renewable annually and any radio user must always operate on 81Mhz, within the terms of this Licence.
The Club has several units licenced and are always on the lookout for new prospective radio users.
Our units are licenced with the MSUK as ‘Auto-CONWY’ and we would be more than happy to take you on as an existing user or as a trainee radio operator if you would like to operate ‘MSUK Safety Radio’ either now or in the future.
As a registered 116 Car Club Radio Operator you will also be given authorisation by the Club to use other spot frequencies often allocated on the MSUK Registered sets (77 & 86Mhz) as well as frequencies both on the ‘Mid’ and the ‘High’ bands, should the need arise.
If you would like more information on MSUK Safety Radio, please contact the Radio Manager, Rod Pierce on 07930 149023. Radio Operators courses take place on a regular basis as the need arises.
