116 Car Club was formed in 2012 by a group of friends and motorsport enthusiasts who brought a wealth of experience in competition and organisation to the Club.
116 Car Club holds regular MSA Authorised events and enjoys a close association and genuine friendship with other MSA Affiliated Motor Clubs. This in turn means we can call on each other to both help promote and organise events for ALL motorsport enthusiasts to enjoy.
The Club is affiliated to Motorsport UK, the Welsh Association of Motor Clubs and the Association of North Western Car Clubs.
In keeping with the Club’s open-door policy, we seek conscientious, willing and able Club Members for roles on the Club Committee. Experience is not essential, and all Committee posts are held on a 100% voluntary basis. Anyone interested in joining either the Club or becoming a Committee Member, speak to any of our existing Committee.
116 Car Club is also proud to have adopted The North Wales Cancer Appeal as it’s nominated Charity. The Charity supports the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre with donations for vital equipment and support to assist in the treatment of Cancer patients from all over North Wales. In the past three years our Members and Supporters have raised over £4,800 for the Appeal and we thank all who have made this fantastic gesture possible. 116 Car Club is associated with CES UK Ltd/The Parts Alliance Group and are pleased to say that all paid up members are eligible to receive substantial discounts at all CES counters on production of a valid 116 Car Club Membership card.
The Club is both competitive and social and we try to provide a balanced mix of competition and socially based activities. We hold a Club night every Wednesday at The New Inn, St Asaph so come along and join us to see what we are all about!
It is with regret that I have to announce we are unable to run the 116 Targa Tracks on 31st July 2022, as originally planned. We have just received notification that Glan Y Gors Circuit, which hosts the event for us and allows us to run three tests, following the peace and quiet of the Covid Pandemic, has received some complaints about noise from some local residents. read more of the announcement here
